THE ACTUAL FIGHT

Muzan's best chance is overwhelming Sukuna immediately.

His speed, multiple whips and poison could force Sukuna into a defensive battle.

But Sukuna has something Muzan has never really dealt with:

A large-scale attack that never stops.

Once Malevolent Shrine is activated, Muzan would be continuously shredded by Cleave and Dismantle.

And while Muzan could regenerate from the damage, Sukuna could keep repeating it.

That's where the battle begins turning against Muzan.

Muzan's regeneration can repair his body...

But Sukuna's arsenal gives him multiple ways to keep destroying it.

And if Sukuna follows the Domain with Divine Flame, Muzan's ability to regenerate becomes increasingly difficult to rely on.

The biggest question is whether Muzan can survive long enough to reach Sukuna and land enough attacks to overwhelm him.

Muzan is physically terrifying and possesses one of the best regeneration abilities in Demon Slayer.

But Sukuna's combination of battle IQ, ranged slashes, regeneration, Domain Expansion and overwhelming offensive options gives him the more complete arsenal.

Muzan can survive being cut.

Sukuna can keep cutting him.

And coupled with FUGA eventually Muzan will get overwhelmed and that might be what decides the fight.

Based purely on their demonstrated abilities and feats, Sukuna has more ways to control the battle.
