First Trailer Drops for 'Day Drinker' Starring Johnny Depp

The first official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated supernatural revenge thriller Day Drinker has officially arrived, offering audiences a dark, twisty glimpse into a dangerous web of crime.

Directed by Marc Webb and produced by Lionsgate, the film marks a high profile return to the thriller genre for Johnny Depp.

What Fans Should Expect

The Cast: Johnny Depp and Academy Award winner Penélope Cruz headline the feature, marking their fourth major collaboration following Blow, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and Murder on the Orient Express. They are joined by Outer Banks breakout star Madelyn Cline and creature-feature veteran Javier Botet.

The Plot: While Lionsgate is keeping the finer narrative points under wraps, the trailer confirms the film is set heavily aboard a cruise ship. The maritime setting acts as a pressure cooker as the characters become entangled in a mysterious criminal underbelly with supernatural undertones.

The Vibe: Leaning heavily into suspense and dark action, the teaser hooks audiences with an eerie, central tagline delivered in the footage: "Don't you sometimes want to misbehave?"

The Production Team: The project boasts some serious action credibility behind the scenes, with Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee (the producers behind the John Wick franchise) steering the ship alongside Adam Kolbrenner and Zach Dean.

Release Date:

Day Drinker is officially slated to hit theaters worldwide on March 26, 2027.
