EXCLUSIVE: Presley Gerber has passed on

Model and mental health advocate Presley Gerber the son of Cindy Crawford has passed away at the age of 27. Gerber died on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at a Los Angeles County rehabilitation facility.

According to the medical examiner, an autopsy is yet to be completed, and an official cause of death has not been formally declared. In the years prior to his passing, Gerber was transparent about his severe struggles with substance abuse, panic attacks, and depression, often speaking publicly about his challenges to destigmatize mental illness.

Gerber established a prominent footprint in both the fashion industry and philanthropic spaces. After making his runway debut at the age of 16 for Moschino, he achieved several notable milestones: Walked the runway for major luxury brands, including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, and Ralph Lauren. Starred in global campaigns for Calvin Klein, Celine, Pepsi, and Omega. Worked actively as an investor and entrepreneur outside of his modeling career. Championed mental health awareness by launching a "Mental Health Mondays" video series to share his personal experiences and provide a judgment-free space for others. Supported youth aging out of the foster care system by volunteering with the Los Angeles-based charity A Sense of Home. Gerber is survived by his mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford; his father, businessman Rande Gerber, and his younger sister, model and actress Kaia Gerber. A representative for the Crawford-Gerber family has issued a public statement requesting privacy as they mourn his loss.
